Custom Orders

You Imagine it...

I make it happen.

How it works

Message me on WhatsApp — this is the only way I take custom orders, so we can actually talk it through properly.

Send me the details — a photo (front and back, if you have it), and anything you can tell me about the character. If it's from a movie or show, the name helps enormously. I'll also need the size (height in cm) and whether you want regular or plush yarn.

I give you a quote — price and timeframe, based on what you've described.

You accept and pay a 50% deposit — this is what lets me buy the yarn and any special extras (I'm currently sourcing a tiny padlock and a very particular pair of eyes for one order). Once materials are bought, this deposit isn't refundable, but it does mean your spot is secured and your piece is officially underway.

I keep you in the loop the whole way — "going shopping for your yarn today," a photo of what I bought, progress pictures as your piece takes shape. Most customers tell me this is their favourite part.

What I make

Almost anything you can imagine, including:

Dolls and figurines in every shape and size — long-legged, chubby, cultural, dress-up-and-undress.

Animal caricatures - like Count Batula, the purple bat.

Montessori toys with moving parts (pull the tail, open the mouth), balls your little one can disassemble and reassemble, and more.

Cards for Christmas, birthdays, to tell someone you love them, or even just because you want a special card with a special message for a special someone.

Suncatchers designed just for you (one set was even commissioned to keep doves off a veranda).

Beaded bracelets and earrings.

Tell me your idea — if it's possible to make it, I'll make it happen.

It's not 'off a pattern'

Every pattern is my own, designed stitch by stitch.

If someone asks for a mallard duck, I go and properly look at mallard ducks first, the colours, the wing shape, the feet, before a single stitch happens.

Not because the result needs to be realistic, it's still a caricature, but knowing the real thing is what makes the character believable.

Your ideas — my craft

Good to know

Turnaround usually runs 14 days to a month once your start date is confirmed, depending on the size and complexity of the piece and whether I have materials on hand. I recommend placing your order around two months before you need it, that gives enough buffer on top of the making time itself.

I take on a limited number of pieces at a time and work through them in order, but I can occasionally squeeze in an urgent request, as long as it won't push back someone else's order.

Christmas, Valentine's, Mother's and Father's Day, and Halloween get busy, so if you're planning around one of those, the earlier you reach out, the better.
